Default id this turbo for me.. i was told t3/t4 hybrid

I was told it was a t3/t4 hybrid, and it was the bigger of two choices from ludespeed, but it was a to4b compressor, not teh more common to4e wheels. I cant figure out *** it is. It has a t3 turbine with .63 a/r housing, which is as expected, but th ecompressor seems liek it is s alot smaller than it should be. you can see a .50 stamped inside the outlet. The rest of the compressor housing has basically nothing written on it, other than airresearch M10. I used teh standard soda can for size reference, as you can see the inlet fits the can, but it tapers down to quite a bit smaller inside.

i hesitate to think it is too big, because before I blew the shortblock ( the only reason it is off the car now) I could spool that thing very easily. I could rev it a few times, and launch at 3500 rpm, and be basicaly under boost from launch..
I was only running 6 psi tho... ??

IIRC, Ludespeed offered a t04s at some point, which I think may have been the largest turbo they put in the kits.

No idea what that is other then the guess. *shrug*

That would be my guess as well.... There are no notable markings in the pics, so it would be pretty difficult to ID...

right, there are NO markings on the compressor side at all. IT is very strange. I measures teh overall inlet at about 2 3/4 inches, and then it has that taper to the compressor, which is about 1 7/8" or 1.875ish inches. that is a fair bit smaller than any of the t4 compressor wheels i have found the specs for so far. it is t3 size range..

Looks like a T3 to me. But at anything less than 14psi, I'd rather have that than a larger T04E/B.

well from teh response of ludespeed, who didnt know much other than:

Jared,
that compressor is a TA34 and the turbine wheel is a standard TB03.
I don't know if you are going to find compressor maps for that specific
compressor, but that is the model number.
Tom

I was able with google to determin it is a tdo4e 40 trim turbo
flows 37 lb/min, about the same size as a mitsu 16g.
