Post opinions on the weapon R intake

I've been looking for an intake to tit my 1.8 liter and the Weapon R looks to be the only one, so I was wondering what peoples opinions on them were..

They work great for a quick power boost, but make more noise than anything else, plus it looks great under the hood. I have been running my Weapon-R for about a year and I like it. I changed the filter a few months ago, to a cheap K&N knockoff from APC. You will loose some low end but pickup more top end. Its a cheap intake that does its job for the price, nothing more. I bet its no different than any of the other intakes with the same design. The Cobb tuning intake is the only intake that seems to really kick the power on but, because of the PRM filter, it also kicks your wallets butt.

Larry at www.imprezars.com is working on a cold air extension for the Impreza's with a MAF. The site says it will work with the stock plenum or with an aftermarket intake (i.e. Weapon*R, JC Sports)

The Cobb tuning intake only works for 2000-2001 imprezas, because they have a MAP. subieboy's 1.8L has a MAF.
