Post Nitros Kits

I don't know if this was already talked about. Does anyone know of any nitros kits that are bolt-on or close to bolt on kits for a 98rs? If so can ya hook me up with some info like price, reliability and power gains.

Thumbs up

I ordered a Zex kit with a 75hp shot (it comes with a 55hp, 65hp, and 75hp shot nozzles)...I'll be installing it late Feb. Ask me then how it is!!! Cost me $650 for parts and $200 for installation...easy to install-applied to all EFI vehicles...no specific application needed...check it out www.zex.com

Nice thing about this kit- idiot proof, self-modulating bottle pressure, 10 lbs. bottle, arming switch..."It's all about foot control," so don't be scared when you hear stories about people blowing up their engines. It's more or less because their engine was not in top condition and/or they are spraying for over a 15 sec increment (i.e. An escort with a Zex kit was leaking oil, but this young kid wanted to put it in anyway...it ran well after install, but a week later he was hanging with his buddies driving fast around the beltway...constantly spraying 20 to 30 sec increments...damn, no wonder he called the company the next day and cried out that his engine exploded!!! hehehehe) IT'S ALL ABOUT FOOT CONTROL!

But with a stock Legacy that has 165hp and a Zex kit...I'll be able to pump out 240hp!!! Unfortunately my Suby isn't stock-hehehehe ...I currently have an aluminum Stromung cat-back exhaust, weapon-r intake with K&N filter, Unorthodox racing crank pulley, Magnecor 8.5mm wires, and Bosch Platinum 4+ plugs

Future replacement mods: Weapon-R to Cobb Tuning Cool Air Intake Kit; Stromung cat back exhaust to Borla headers (coated in and out) with an undetermined cat back exhaust, Cobb Tuning's performance camshafts; and maybe JC Sports Torque Chip...maybe!!!

Keep in touch,

CRAZY KEN

juss be sure that you get colder plugs and gap them to the right specs, you'll also need a purge vaulve to get rid of any air bubbles in the line.. N2o is safe, teh reason for engines blowin up is because your engine might be runnin to lean or too rich..

and as crazy said, dont stomp every ten seconds!

Thanks for the input. I tried doing a search earlier today in the archives for info on nitros kits but didn't find much. Are their any kits that were tested on a subaru? I probably wouldn't use it that much while driving. But it would be cool to have a Gone in 60's go button when I feel the urge and there are no blue lights in the vicinity. Let me know how your zex nitro install turns out. I plan to upgrade the stopping power before adding the extra juice. Change my brake lines to stainless steel, slotted rotors etc sometime this sping. In the summer I will start adding more go fast parts :-)

Try spelling it "nitrous" and you will find a lot.

Search for "Nitrous" and "Imprezinator" and you will find threads about why I don't like Dry kits like the Zex and Venom

I wouldn't get nitrous! It just doesn't seem safe to me. Unless it is like a 30 hp shot.
