Im pretty sure with a bit of enginuity (hah!) you can fit it in anything that will dimensionally accept it (fit under hood, or in trunk)

I bet with some work you could fit a 4g63 in there or even better a sr20det from a gti-r. I would like to see the sr20 done personally.

I know that the EJ25 fits beautifully into the old VW Beetle's trunk as those cars also had boxer engines, I don't see a reason why the EJ20 turbo would not... that'd be killer!

1995 is what.. ver 2? 3? 260hp in an old beetle would be impressive to say the least..

Also, there was a post on here a while back about a WRX engine going into a VW Vanagon or whatever its called (shaggin wagon), you might want to search for that

It's a good fit, but you wouldn't want one in the trunk.

there's a WRX powered vanagon on here somewhere.

basically...if it's got a porsche or VW transmission...kennedyeng.com makes an adapter plate...

I personally feel offended by this. Same engine combos should be kept on the same car. Not like swap a toyota engine in a honda or a honda engine in a subaru. Might as well just change the manufacturer badges too eh?

Personally?

If you take something as minor as this personally, you need to see a doctor or something.

have a nice life...keep your car stock.

I am not talking about keeping cars stock. I am talking about that Honda engines should be fitted in Hondas, and nothing else, Subaru engines should be fitted in Subarus etc. And yes, that is my personal opinion. Others may think different.

why should they? why can't I have a mutt car? so...*bzzzzt!!! disagree.*

an S2000 engine would be AWESOME in a sprite or an MGB...and then it'd be something known as RELIABLE.

your personal opinion is different than being offended personally by something.

my personal offences include people being racist, dumb people, people who think they can drive but can't (as it endangers my personal well being), dishonestly, and clowns (not the circus kind, even though they scare me, too)

it's not like I'm cutting a perfectly good car to do this...I'd never do that...

I start with basket case cars...stuff that would normally be discarded, or will never become a concours/show car...it's mine to do with what I want.

I'm glad your opinion differs from mine...the world would be filled with clones otherwise...everyone would be just like me...or worse..you.

Yeap. Let's do a Porsche swap on a Civic. That would be the thread of the day.

actually WRX engine and drivetrain in a Civic would be SWEEEEET...put the wrx hood scoop in the hood, look totally rediculous until it's fired up...total sleeper..

where's that crx..

anthony you need to pull your head out and look at around

subaru engines are regularly used in

A: airplanes
B: sand rails (there is more turbo scoob expirence with sand rails in the country than expirance with cars they have been dooin it sinec the late 90s)
C: rock crawlers

its common enough that there a several companys that make adapter plates

pick up a copy of sand sports and see the subaru powered 500hp sand rails that do 100 ft wheelies ..
where do you think crawford perfomance got its start ...

I know all of the above and am proud of where subaru engines go to. But not proud at all if they turn out to be in other cars. Just my opinion dudes.

I have seem two conversions of this nature, one conversion was on Ebay which was a Mk1 Golf with a impreza engine and running gear and the other was a ford focus again with the full running gear
