Question low pressure turbo requirements for 2.5L

I am looking at turbocharging my automatic 1998 Liberty (Austrlian spec. Legacy) using the turbo and water/air intercooler from an Australian spec. Liberty RS (2.0L turbo)(~1993-1994).

I would only be running around 5-7psi boost on this setup. I believe the turbo from the Aust. spec. RS was a VF12, supposedly very similar to the TD05H unit which was in the earlier WRXs.

With this setup, would I need to modify the fuel system (ie. new pump. pressure controler, injectors etc.), computer or MAF sensor.

I have heard from some that these things would be needed and from others that they would not be nessecary.

Please help, as I do not want to blow my engine, but also don't want too spend more than nessecary, as I am on a limited budget.

Also is my automatic transmission able to handle this sort of upgrade?

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Ben.
