Want the headers that are on the Fastest Stock Turbo WRX? Well here is your chance.
QTP charging forth into the sport compact market with our first import header for the WRX/STi. A one piece design incorperating the header and up pipe as complete system. By creating this unique design we where able to get the primaries to an equal lenght. We also went with a tri y 4-2-1 set up. With this formation we where able to make the up pipe a twin pipe design. The result, a powerful header that really gives the low end grunt with out the long spool up time of the turbo. Torque down low and the horsepower up high. Why Coat a stainless steel header? The header is made out of 304 stainless steel for durabilty and then we have them coated with Jet Hot 2000. JET-HOT 2000™ - Formulated for very high temperatures, this rugged black coating protects substrates up to 2,450°F. We choose to coat the header beacuse we do not want to have the under hood temperatures to get out of hand. Also with the up pipe so close to cylinder number 3 no reason for the excess heat. Heat wrap just doesnt cut it in our books for durability. By coating the header it also keep the heat inside the pipes. Keeping the EGTs up and getting the heat to the turbo. Heat=Power! So what is a Tri Y Header? In a TRI-Y header, the primary tubes are paired in a 4-into-2 and 2-into-l formation. This increases the cylinder scavenging effect and improves engine breathing by utilizing the exhaust velocity of one cylinder to help the exhaust velocity of another. ![]() ![]() Our QTP Long Tube Tri Y Header. This header gained 40.56hp and 44.63tq with out tuning and with the help of a Utec it gained a total of 51.72hp and 77.43tq on our project car. 276tq at the wheels with a stock turbo. We have many on the shelf that came back in from being coated by Jet Hot. Specs on the headers. 304 Stainless Steel Jet Hot 2000 Coating in Black Hold temps up to 2400 degs! Tri Y Design for Torque Equal Lenght We are having an intro price on these headers. Jump on this now because we will not offer them this low again. Price $825.00 Add our QTP QTEC Down Pipe for only $525.00 to complete the set up. Must purchase Header for this price. Turbo Magazine will be running our headers on there new WRX project car and Modified Mag is lloking to run our headers on there STi. We are also making an adaptor bolt to hook up a AutoMeter EGT Gauge to the factory EGT Bung. Info on this shortly. If anyone has any questions feel free to call us. We can go over anything with you. Sounds interesting. I knew it was only a matter of time before a solid header popped up for the WRX.
Those gains do seem kind of high, but I wouldnt be surprised if they were true. My question is this: was this piece designed with the stock turbo in mind, or will this work good for high hp apps as well? |

As for the non believers.... Im not one to defend myself but, you dont have to beleive us. Our track times show the power in our set up. 12.78@106.6 with a stock turbo. Our headers dont leak. Because of the coating it makes a tight fit. |

I am also interested in this header but I too would like to see a before and after dyno plot compared to stock header. Your car is basically a stage 2 car so just get a dyno of the car on the stock header. When your making 825 a piece for a header whats $75 for 3 dyno pulls?

How much is gained from the header vs. a stock exhaust manifold with catless uppipe? I ask because I'm only 6whp less than your car.

Sounds like I need a header and higher boost. My 243/240 was at 14.5psi. Was the cutout open when you got the 249/276 numbers? I'm trying to figure out where the extra torque is coming from.

I'm sorry, have any of you seen the Header comparo by S3?
There's no way you're getting 40+ hp from any header. Jay |

Who exactly do they think they are dealign with? Many people on this board understand the wrx as well as or better than most of these vendors. Trying to pass off a header which has identical design to most other headers and claim that it produces 35 HP more than headers is so absurd it makes me sick. Why would u evven bother....? My guess is that they are low on $$ and are trying to pick off a few newbs at 800+ a piece. I wonder if any of the moderators have seen this.

It should also be noted that you lose the boxer rumble with these equal length headers... Seems like they took an untuned wrx and then put the headers on and gave it a full out tune to get those numbers...

I would be willing to subject my car for before and after dyno pulls, if you guys want to throw a header on my car.. Mabey that would clear up a few things also see how they work on higher Hp cars.. I am really skeptical about those claims, but will try anything once
