Question Boulder Tire Shops

Hey RMIC -

I'm posting a question for a friend who lives in Boulder. He's still running the Stock RE-92s on his '02 WRX and is thinking of getting the Continental ContiExtreme Contact tires. I think they're pretty good all-seasons that hold particularly well in the snow. Not to mention they're afforably priced at $79 per tire @ tirerack.com

Would you all agree? I appreciate any and all feedback.

Also, anyone know of any shops in the Boulder area that will mount & balance for a reasonable price?

Thanks from Chicago!

I've heard nothing but good things about those tires. I've never personally run them; only word of mouth.

As for a good tire shop...the Tire Source is a great place. I don't know about their prices though.

I have also heard good things about these tires. I am still on the RE-92's but when I get new tires these are the ones I am looking at getting.

I don't know where to get them mounted other than places like Big-O, Discount Tire, etc. I don't know how cheap they are going to be though.

I recal the Tire Source having some wiggle room on prices...

Barnsley Tires on Pearl@Folsom is a good little local private shop in Boulder. I have used them a few times. And they are a Tire Rack "authorized" center so get their pricing on all their tires models...
