Default My swap for under 5K. please help

hello i am finally going to be able to make my dreams come ture, i am going to do my swap. but i have to keep it under 5k. so this is what my plan is so far. i was thinking of doing
2.5 usdm block 1495
axis stage 2 valve kit 1399
green turbo 1300 i think
p&p heads from axis 1249.
that make the grand total to 5443. then i think that i will be able to sell parts off of my car and other parts i have to sell. i think i can make like 1695 with the parts. so that takes it down to 3748. so my ? is, do all of you swap guys think that this will be a good swap capable of making close to 400hp/lb. the other way i was leaning was the axis stage 1 block with the above stuff. i do not drag race! ever. i am only highway and from punches so i want to have a hellish top end. will the 2.2 be better for the highway. or sould i go with the torque of the 2.5

and yes i know all of the suporting mods i need to make this work

you are leaving LOTS of things out of your list. first off what kind of car do you have? what about intercooler/piping, oil pan, intake manifold, crossmember, management, injectors, tranny to hold new power, etc..

Are you using a USDM 2.5 or USDM 2.5 STi engine? You have not clearify this.

You are forgetting a good tune! If you dyno tune it it can be 4 figures. (thousands of dollars)

man i dont get every one. i ask simple questions, and i get no answers at all. i get remarks about what i am forgetting, yet i metioned that i had everything besides the block and new swap stuff listed. please just tell me which way i should go. what wouldbe better in the long run.this
2.5 usdm block 1495
axis stage 2 valve kit 1399
green turbo 1300 i think
p&p heads from axis 1249.

or the same with the 2.2 liter instead.

so since i have all the little things ex. itercooler, ems, injectors, fuel pump, what do you guys think

I don't meant to harp on you, but the reason you got the answer's you did is because you left a lot of information out of your opening post. You didn't tell us what this was going into and don't list it in your signature. Your screenname cannot be taken at face value for such things. And I don't know ANYONE that considers engine management or a good dyno tune a LITTLE thing.

So, to answer your questrions, I have questions:
1. What are you using for engine management?
2. What exhaust set up do you have?
3. What Intercooler are you going to run?
4. What injectors?
5. Who's gonna tune it?
6. Who is doing the labor on the build?
These things are quite relevant to whether or not your set up will be worth a damn and are information that we need before we can give any advice that is worthwhile. They are not little supporting bits, they are an integral part of the set up...

And, for your power goals, I would say the PnP on the heads is a waste of a grand. You can make that power on stock heads with upgraded valvetrain...

ok sorry then. i ahve a 02 wrx. i was thinking of doing ecutek reflash because that is what i have now. but if that wont work i will go with the utec. also i ahve a blitz nur spec with a quicktime cut out downpipe. i have a custom spearco FMIC. i will have the moded stockers, unless i need the 800cc ones. thinking about fis for tuning or ctc motorsports. so if there is anything else then let me know. also i saw that the PnP will be a waste you said. would it be better to get ahold of like some v7 or v8 heads if possible. and if thta is so were can i maybe locate some.

You want top end so get the 2.2 It can handle more boost, while the 2.5 has more low end torque. The 2.2 will have higher peak power which means once the turbo spools up it will be great for highway runs.

However with the 2.2 you will need new pistons and rods.

so since i cant do the new pistins and rods yet then do you thnk that the 2.5 will be just as good top end,but with the low end grunt also. what about heads, should i do the upgrades for my heads or get some different heads like v7 or v8.
