Default Xede or UTEC for '05 STi?

I am new here and would like some feedback and opinions on these two management systems for the 2005.

1. Overall "user-friendliness"
2. Tunability
3. Driveability / reliability
4. Integration with the factory ECU
5. Number of functions
6. Other?...

Any comments good or bad are appreciated..

Thanks!!

UTEC hands down.

1- plug and play
2- easy to tune yourself, plus TONS of support
3- tune it right and you wont have to worry
4- see #3
5- TONS (external solenoid controls)
6- 300whp with a UTEC and bolt-ons. what more can you ask for?

Thanks for the feedback. Are you able to control the open loop breakpoint? If so, how (TPS, RPM, load etc.)?

I have heard of random ignition issues (misses, farts, burned coils etc.) with the UTEC. Rumors only?

Any drawbacks/tradeoffs?

Thanks!!

you can control the OLF crossover by TPS (20-100% i believe).

there are the burned coil rumors, but nothing i would consider fact at this point. ive had a couple misses, but i believe thats more attributed to me not re-gapping my plugs. so take it FWIW.

not really any trade-offs. once you have it properly tuned (still working on mine), then everything should be running just as you want.
