I'm about to install my system and I was wondering where I might find some of that spray foam stuff for deading rattles and so forth, and what its called, how much i might need, etc. Thanks!

Some Tweeter stores carry the stuff, but I would not recommend it for door panels and such. It is messy, inconsistent, and there are far more superior products out there for sound deadening. I used it to coat a fiberglass tub for my wagon, and I used a full can, only to have most of it fall off, and basically be ineffective.

If you are really set on something other than mat, you might look into the v3 of eDead...

www.partexpress.com has both spray and roll on applications. You could also check out b-quiet.

Quietcar looks like a cool product..
I like the X-terminator stuff because it's fire retardant, isn't water soluable once dry and remains flexible. These are traits that many of the other liquid dampers can't all claim to be good at, at the same time... |

does any of this stuff actually make the car quieter too, like blocking out road noise and so forth?
