Default Wire ? on wrx swap to legacy- rear defogger

Hi all, i'm wondering if i need to connect this wire in my system: It's the wrx ecu A3 connector that goes to the rear defogger/intagrated module?
My legacy doesn't have this connection at the ecu. I'm not using the intagrated module from the wrx harness, so i don't think it needs to be there.
Anyone know for sure?
Brent

I didn't have it hooked up in my 1994 L, no problems.

So with your 94 did you have a 02 wrx swap in it or did you just not have the wire/switch hooked up?
If you did have a wrx swap in it, then did the rear defogger system work without this wire connected?
Thanks

just trace where the wire is further up in the legacy harness and splice the wire into it. It will be worth it if you decide to ecutek the car later on.

Yes, 02 WRX swap.

I checked into the diagrams to refresh my memory. Yea, there is no ECU wire to the defogger system on either the 1994 or 1999 L's I've worked with.

My current car, 1999 L with 02 WRX swap does not have it connected to anything. I've got no CEL's and I've got an accessport so ecutek or any other reflashes won't be a problem.

Cool, i didn't think it would be a problem. Now if i can just get everything together and working.

What about the speedometer circut? Mine has only 2 wires; a black and white twisted together and also don't go to the ecu. I'm going to install the wrx speed sender unit as the old legacy one doesn't connect to the 5mt/6mt output on the transmission sender unit.
Anyone have this problem too?
