Default Ludespeed Kit going in...

I just picked up a new Stage3 kit from goatspot and am installing this weekend. Any pointers? Going in a 99 EJ22. Wish me luck!! I will tell you how it goes on the other side.

Hardest part is the oil pan. Loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine up a bit to gain some clearance to get to the rear bolts on the oil pan. Other than that it's really not hard. Just take your time and be careful. Doublecheck that everything is tight.

be extra careful with the screw on the stock fuel pressure regulator it strips easily. and start everything off loose because you might have to do some negociating to get it to fit right.

Yeah the screws on the stock FPR suck... I replaced mine with bolts instead of easy to strip screws...

If you can't get the screws loose on the FPR, just use a vice grip and it'll come loose. They're loctited in, so you have to break that seal.

When doing the piping install, tighten from the head back. Get everything in place and the bolts in/near snugged, then tighten the headers, uppipe, turbo, then downpipe and wastegate. You can also adjust where everything is sitting during this, which is a good thing if you find clearance issues.
