Subydude.com says Rotas need special lugnuts at about $75 bucks for four wheels worth. Couple questions: Do Rotas really require special lugs? Where would someone go about getting these(besides subydude)? Am I being naive or is $75 bucks kinda high for lug nuts?

you can find 'tuner' lugs for as cheap as $30 a set.
we sell a set of spline type ones for $45 a set.
the problem w/ the other 'non spline' type lugs is that they take up too much space.
theres not much space say w/ the tarmac and the SDR wheels to fit those other lugs.
i would suggest if you get lugs you need to look for...
- ones that are tall and not fat... so that you have plety of room to torque it down w/out scratching up your rotas.
- be sure they are 'tuner' lugs... tapered, not rounded where it touches the wheels.
$75 set are the duralmin forged aluminum lugs... light as a feather.
hope that helps!
