Man that wrx intercooler just does not fit on the 2.5. Do you have to beat in the top with a hammer or something. Trim the flance where it goes into the intake manifold? Something is not right.

Yeah, you really should trim both sides. It takes a lot of effort getting it in there, and even more getting it out.

You know the stock Y pipe doesn't fit too, right? It needs to be extended.

Here are my suggestions:

-Yes, the throttle body and the intercooler neck need to be trimmed to make it fit. This is a known issue.

-The Y pipe is also a pain, but depending on who made your pipes, it should work.

-Getting the coupler to fit inbetween the TB and IC is one of the most difficult tasks. Leave the hose clamps off at first. Slide it on, I warn against using lubricant (esp since your shaving the necks down. Lubricant will allow the coupler to pop off all the time). if you MUST use carb cleaner. This will dissappait eventually. DO NOT USE GREASE or WD40. Use a flat head screw driver (or hose pick) to work the coupler around the neck. Once its on, put your hose clamps around it.

-Also note how much play you can get out of the turbo outlet simply by leaving the bolts on the turbo/up/dowpipe loose until its all fitted up. Ive said this before but it can make the difference of fitting and not.

Nice headers Definately get a support bracket on there so they don't crack.

Oh and uh.... nice pipes too BTW. Just do me a favor and no close ups of that 3" down pipe, I don't want everyone thinking I can make them one. Those things are MUCH harder to do than the 2.5"

Did you use a wrx cross member for the turbo system, custom fab, or not use one?

I am using the stock RS cross member. The up and down pipe are custom made by subachad.
