Question 2.5L DOHC Vs 2.5L SOHC

well one thing I have Noticed is it makes more power lower down then the DOHC..

More likey a transmission question but when at higher speeds and you floor it, it does not seem as quick as my 98 Forester L... I just got a 2003 Forester 2.5XS Premium.

Nope! It's not just you. It's been discussed here before in the past, years ago. Even in a dragrace, the SOHC will typically pull ahead at the start and the DOHC will catch up at the 1/4 mile mark. Eventually the DOHC would probably pass the SOHC but beyond the 1/4 mile mark haven't been discussed or observed as far as I know.
