Question Ganzflow

I received my Ganzflow in the mail today. It is a little dinged up on one end. I am just curious if anyone else had it so happen that one end of the piping is bent in. Note, this is the end that attaches to the stock air box, not the fender well end of the piping. See the photo for a better understanding.

Larry has always treated me good so this is by no means a slight against him. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I was just looking for some input.

Thanks in advance,

Keenan

Im assuming its just aluminum? If so, Im sure you can just bend it back out and all will be fine. It probably got bumped hard in the shipping.

I got mine last week and it was in perfect condition. Possibly due to international shipping? Don't have a pic of mine before the install, but here it is after.

Thanks Larry!

Question

I got mine yesterday. The box was pretty beat up - thanks UPS - but the tube was fine.
Two questions - what is the nipple for? and how do you seal up the second large hole in the fender?

The other hole in the fender can be plugged with a part from a 01 Impreza. The piece just snaps into the opening. I even used this piece on my GT!

I'm not exactly sure of the part number, but just go to your local Sube dealer and ask them to look up the part number. Tell them to look under the parts for the air intake of a 01 Impreza. The part is listed as a plug. I think it retails for $8, but subaruparts.com has them cheaper (I think). You still need to find out the part number, though.

Hope this helps,

Jason

Thanks, but what about the nipple. I don't see any hoses that could possibly connect to it. BTW I have a MY00.

I got the version before yours (the 2.5"), and it doesn't have anything like that nipple on it. Have you e-mailed Larry to ask about that? He's a cool guy, will probably answer quickly. Unless he reads this and answers. Are you out there, Larry?
P.S. Love the intake!

IIRC, the nipple may be useful in the future once Larry gets completed the next phase of the intake that incorporates a cold air box or something of that nature. Don't quote me but I recall reading something about if before.
