Default Would this Fit?

Would a T-25 turbo off a second gen eclipse fit on a 02 2.5rs. I'm looking at setting up a homemade kit and have a T-25 laying around. Any way to make this work or is it not worth it?

anything will fit if you make it. Technically, no turbo fits you car. Read FAQ's... its your first step twords turbocharging. You wont get far in this forum w/ generic questions like that.

those things are pretty small. You could do it.

I would be very custom though.

Actually it would be less custom than you think. Buschur Racing makes a kit that will allow you to bolt on a Mitsu turbo. You can get an UP with the Mitsu flange and a 3" DP with the Mitsu flange. They sell a complete kit with the UP, DP, 16G turbo and and necessary install parts for $1500. Goto www.buschurracing.com to check it out.

As far as that rubo goes, it is small. With a new wastegate actuator from Forced Performance you will be able to make it hold 18psi till the red. However, it doesn't flow very much and running that much boost on a turbo that is at least 6 years old...

Don't forget he's coming from a '02 2.5RS, not a wrx. Looks like the kit you're talking about is for a wrx. He might be able to use that if he uses the wrx exhaust manifold + crossmember. Then there's engine mgmt to worry about..etc...

And 18 psi is a lot of boost on the high compression ej25 Don't know if the small turbo can push 18 psi for a 2.5. Any compressor maps out there?

I'm sure there are some out there. I would check dsmtalk.com.

An 02 would just need a wrx manifold and it should work fine. And with the CFM that little hair dryer puts out you could run probably 8-10 psi, not much boost. Probably would also need some injectors and fuel management as well. What size do the 2.5's come with?
