sunroofs are factory installed.... so, no you can't. Best bet would to find a local installer and get it done there. Most sunroof installers should warranty their products.

You also may want to consider the wisdom of doing that. Some people are concerned about the safety of sun roofs during a roll over. They may have a point , but one that never concerned me. However the STI delivers a powerful amount of torque and I would imagine a lot of body twisting. More than likely every piece of sheet metal is needed. I could see where spirited driving could make the car prone to windshield breakage. An RS no problem, a WRX maybe (if designed that way) but an STI?
I donít know , maybe someone else has some thoughts on this.

No. My understanding is that there is a structural member in the roof that does not allow for installation of the sunroof.

Look for an ASC dealer in your area. Will probably cost about $1k.

seeing as it's the same body/frame and what not, i imagine there is a hole for the sunroof to fit in

I know there was a structural member in the way on the '02 and '03 cars; apparently for '04 that was changed at least for the WRX. However I have no idea about the STi and whether or not that's possible.

04's get the sunroof from the premium package.. But remember the ITR(Integra Type R) the first ones honda even removed the rear wiper... As well as the sun roof. Remember its a track/ high performance car so why need a sun roof/ excess weight?

Have you seen the sunroof? It's like 8" deep. They didn't remove the roof bar.. they just fabricated a tiny sunroof.

Just buy a Nissan Z convertable and let the enthusiasts play with the STi.

I know this is an old thread but I was looking around on autotrader to see what people are selling there 06 sti's for on there. Came across this one and it said it has a moonroof but I can tell its definitely not a limited model. Reminded me of this thread. Here's a link to sale if you want to see it.

The sunroof wouldn't be the only reason to steer clear of that car.
