Question Stromung and a WRX

I am wondering how much of a gain in performance one could achieve by putting a Stromung exhaust on a WRX. Is the stock exhaust similar to a Stromung? Would the upgrade be worth the cash? Also, has anyone heard how the exhaust on a WRX sounds? I know some people have driven them already and posted about it, but I don't remember any mention about the tone the exhaust makes. Thanks for any info.

the current Stromung would be detrimental to a WRX. They are built as N/A mufflers and don't flow fee enough for a turbo motor. Someone did say that Stromung is developing a turbo muffler for the WRX.

Yeah Strepto, that was me. I talked to Stromung and they told me that their WRX turbo model would become available about the same time as the WRX itself. It's already been tested on WRXs and I'd expect only beneficial results from this unit. I, for one, am saving my pennies.

If you buy a WRX, you might as well buy a complete Scoobysport exhaust system or a Magnex cat-back system.

If you seach on UK site, you'll see most use these 2 configurations.

But I'd contact PowerEngineering and improve the stock ECU.

That's a ton 'o bucks for the ScoobySport! Nice, but louder than the Stromung. I'd say go for the catback now, then add on the other bits in time.
