Make sure you walk the course more than once. If you need help interpreting the cones make sure to ask someone. The first run out, try to stay on course. After that you can start to pick up speed. The last piece of advice.....have fun. I wish I could be there but, 1)no car and 2) won't be in town

You may not be able to walk the course once!! Also, check the air in your tires (they will do whatever they can to slow down your subie)

They will be watching you... they are always watching

Ah, Er... sorry I get a little wierd at election time

Once the course is all set-up you can go out and walk the course all you want. Usually there's a "official course walk" after the drivers meeting, and this is usually the last one since the action starts soon after.

Other tips are go out there and marshall when it's your turn. Not only is it important to marshall, but this is here where you can learn lots about going fast for the particular course. You can see where people have trouble, and where the fast cars are finding the best way around cones.

Marshall? I'm assuming you mean watching to see if they hit cones and stuff? Is there assigned turns or do you just go do it?

Yep, there's will be assigned groups. They will probably split the cars into two run groups, so one group runs twice while the other marshalls, and vise versa, until all cars get four official timed runs. After that if there's time, there are typically fun runs for people who want to do more runs.
