Post o2 sensor problems, lean A/F mixture. Help me!

The problem is I have had one o2 sensor replaced. I just took my car to the dealer today because the car has been running te same as it did when the first o2 sensor was going out, they said all sensors and parameters checked out good. They told me there were some bad o2 sensors out in cars and the one they put in a few months ago was one of the good ones.
It gets a little interesting, whenever I get on the throttle I get that wonderful smell of a burning converter, so I took a look at the spark plugs, they are dry as a bone and white as far down as I can see indicating a lean mixture hence the smell. I am wondering if these problems are related and one is causing the other problem, even though this o2 sensor is supposed to be good.
Does anyone else have these problems or have had the problem, and does anyone have any soutions to this problem?
Help me as I am weary to get on the gas hard or do more mods till this is resolved and I want more mods. All I have on now is a Tannabe Racing Medallion exhaust system. An AFC(which I don't want to use to try to fix the problem) and intake are waiting to get installed after the problem is resolved.
Give me some thoughts and solutions.
