I purchased my cams in preparation for the turbo going in soon. They make a great difference in a slightly modified car. I do agree with omahasubaru though, go suspension first. First thing I did was springs and struts, then a few power upgrades, some more suspension mods, then the cams. The cams are almost funner pulling around corners than going in a straight line.

Isn't the downside that cams will void your warranty?

Nobody asked about any downsides of cams

The only downsides I see would be cost, install time/cost, and warranty denial.

They don't outweight the upsides though IMHO.

Question Should i get Cobb street cams?

I have a black MY01 rs coupe with strommung exhaust, intake and borla headers. I have been considering getting cobb street cams for a while now but cannot make up my mind. I know the gains m(12-14 hp 13tq) and i talked to Trey and he said the cams are fine if i eventually go turbo and it isnt enven worth the money to change the street cams to turbo cams. I also would like to add a tech II to my car aswell and turbo in about a year. All opinions of what i should do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you've got the funds.. don't hesitate!!!

GET THEM!

although if you haven't upgraded your suspension, I'd think about that, unless you prefer straight line speed over cornering speed.

I want the cams myself, but fell a suspension would do me better first.
