Talking A new forum to add to your list of haunts (and another weekly meet or two as well!)

Based upon some conversations and ideas that have been around for a few years, some friends and I have launched a new forum with a new idea....

What if instead of seeing just a bunch of Suburus only at your next car meet, you also see a bunch of Japanese GT cars..... Fairladies (240/260/280/300ZX/350Z), Silvias/240SX/180SX, RX-7s, RX-8s, Miatas, Skylines, NSXs, S2000s, GTOs (3000GT VR-4s), Evos, heck even some less common RWD/AWD coupes like older Celicas, Soarers (Lexus SC300/400/430), Mazda RX-2s, Datsun 510s, Infiniti M30s....

I don't know about you guys, but as much as I love my car, I also happen to like most, if not all, Japanese GT cars...

SoooOOoooo while the forums/site are still in their infancy we're focusing mainly on the Greater-Chicagoland area to get our meets, etc. started... but hopefully we'll be able to reach out to all the midwest and hopefully nationally soon thereafter.

Please feel free to visit and register at:

JGTCA.com
(Japanese Grand Touring Cars of America)

Invite your non-Subie pals with NSXs, S2Ks, RX-7s, Nissan Z/G cars, Silvias, etc too. The more the merrier!

We'll also try to visit on Thursday nights (and be well behaved, in fact, a few of our members have stopped by before and have been quite well behaved, anyone recall the white Soarer/SC300?!?

I still think the Chicagoland Subaru crowd is the best organization for overall morale, participation, and camaraderie, its our hope that the JGTCA can learn by example

lateRZ

PS: We're going to need some help moderating this site too... so far we only have a few Toyota guys, 2 Z32 guys, and a few ties into the FD3S/RX-7 world... technically we've got two or three Subaru guys too but would love to have some support from the local Scoob community too

[Edit: Link fixed thanks to Trista!!! ]

Question $900 bid?!?

Heya Mike:

A bid on what? Is someone trying to jack the domain?

Also try: www.jgtca.com (it may be a DNS propagation issue too, but it seems to work for all the other forum members

Thanks for the support bro!

We are looking forward to having a nice large group of RWD/AWD japanese sports/GT cars. Thursday's are already turning into this. I think that a non-brand specific forum will be really good because like Ty said I enjoy many Japanese Sports/GT cars, not just what I own and their is more to look at also!

Registering... sounds like a decent place, especially considering the management's attitude towards the cars. Hopefully there is no influx of ricers (DoctorNick, madSTI, etc).

btw, will see if I can get out a set of DVD's tonite.

I registered.
I think the SVX fits in this class pretty well. (that's what it was designed to be...a GT)

Registered Ty.....

Don't forget about www.mwsoc.org ......
Dont let the name fool you, its not all subaru related (since I started the damn thing and don't even have a subaru anymore)

Just cant seem to think of a good acronym that reflects the changing tastes of our long time midwest people. (brian moving to a c5, me to an evo, nick with the hachi).

Ty, depending on your moderator guidelines, I'll volunteer to give you a hand, let me know.
