its a 2 stroke mix. And I highly doubt running 100 octane will do anything except make you pocket lighter and hence less weight so you go a bit faster. Before cars I mopeds, scooters, dirtbikes is what I rode. We tried alot as kids to make them go faster. Not much you can do except get a good exhaust made specifically for that motor, as some 2 strokes like more back pressure then others. If you got money to burn look into a puch performance kit. They were for the 49cc mopeds and converted them to 70cc with a new piston, rod, cylinder, head, carb, bi-turbo exhaust for about $270. With the right gearing they were able to do 67mph on a moped meant to go 20.

to get $350 for it . makes a cool pit bike and fits in the bed even with a hard tonneau.

we have 2 real pocket racers from italy at my place....one is 8HP and the other is 11HP and let me tell ya.....they're both stupid fast!!!! the 8HP is good for about 35MPH while the 11HP is good for about 55-60 mph depending how heavy you are.....IT'S PLAIN SICK!!!!! i'll take some pics over lunch and post them up. they cost anyhwere from 1800-2300 bucks each. the higher HP versions go for big cash!!!!

ps. they are both for sale. we don't ride them anymore and we're trying to clear out the shop!!!!

i'll post pics later!!!

is there any difference in quality in the sub-$400 ones? there's a listing for 'boss' ones on ebay which claim to be the original, and seem to at least have better looking parts than the one wrxcellent posted (muffler, brake disks). also, they all have slicks and the one ptsmalls posted has knobby tires.

I wasn't really looking for an awesome bike, just something that will work and have fun on.. and the guy who I got mine from has really good feedback and reviews of the bike.. i'm not gonna be hardcore racing or anything... and for $215 shipped I don't think it can be beat!

I just checked my tracking and it was delivered to my house at 9:32am ... sucks i'm stuck at work till 5pm at least.

I can't wait to show up to the next meet and drive this thing around in the parking lot... i'm looking forward to the Colonial Park Meet in Somerset later this month!! Everyone should bring there pocket bikes!!

Neeraj....

I saw ur exact bike @ auto zone....looks 100x better in person then the pics. i sat on it and fit perfect. im 6'1 180. Very comfortable. If i cant grab a local bike, im gona try and do exactly what you did. For 215 who cares....if you hate it in 3 months you can still sell for 200 bux easy.

my review of my pocket bike -

I came home took it out of the box tightened the handle bars to my liking and then went out got the oil and gas.. came home.. read the instructions and off i went... for a while i couldn't figure out the pull start thing and how it worked.. there is a weird technique to it.. u gotta gently pull it twice and then once quickly and it starts.. i still haven't figured out the choke start thing.. the picture in the owners manual really sucks.. but i got it work and wheeeeee it was FUN!!!! too bad it got dark or else i'd still be going nuts on it... tomorrow is gonna be a long day of playing with it...

oh yeah and its fast too... it takes a little time to get used to balancing it and figuring out how it turns and stuff.. i almost wiped out twice... but was able to put my foot down and stop myself from crashing.. its definetly fast and fun.. oh yeah also LOUD... my neighbors are gonna be complaining soon i think.. oh well... sucks for them.. this is way louder i think than my hks carbon-ti turboback exhaust on my wrx

So my review for the $215 i won my bike for is awesome and well worth it.. its definetly worth more than I paid for it and after my roommate rode it, he wants one also!

Let me know if you have any questions!
