Post Pics: JC Sports Group Buy Turbo Kit Installed

This is pictures of tluzziracing's JC Sports turbo kit installed. He asked me to post some pictures for everyone to see.

Yes, the intercooler is a Spearco one that he paid extra for. I'm not 100% on what electronics he is running, but I'm sure he'll give more details when he checks up on this thread.

Click any of the images to get a bigger picture of them. Notice that the larger size images are 128kb, so if you have a dial-up connection, it might be a bit slow.

Tell him to try this mod next... Run a 3" aluminum ventilation duct from the front bumper into the engine bay, then cut it short to blow right into the air filter!

Very nice installation and it seems to run well too - have to get it to the tack when the open around here. Jet Hot coating is the way to go.

So you had to move the power steering lines as well? Does it seem like the setup might effect the lines? Have you spoken to JC Sports about this because Steve E is getting a new pipe because of this. But everthing looks great. I am excited about mine suposedly only a week and a half away.

good luck trying to get one,it took me forever to get a turbo kit. JC sports actually had the best turnaround time.the only porblem was everyone thought they were getting them in november.i had been trying to by a kit since last march from other manufactures and JC sports was the 1st company to come through.

joshua,
yes the power steering lines are in the way but they can be worked around.JC Sports is making flexable stainless steel ones to replace the factory ones.(their like brake lines)that will solve the problem.

tluzziracing- thanks for the reply, are they going to charge us for them? I would think they should be included in the kit cost. Also any idea of what is involved in swaping the lines?

joshua,
joe said about $70 for people that bought turbos from them and about $130 for anyone else.

the lines ae fairly easy to change.just unbolt them and bolt in the new ones and fill with fluid.

Question

I'd love one of those : )

Does anyone know any subaru familiar garages/performance shops in the L.A area, that they would trust to fit a JC sports turbo kit ?
