Thumbs up Installed MRT group N foam filter in 99RS!

Well, being one of the lucky 99RS owners with the double filter syndrome, I had my Subaru dealer (mod friendly dealer) install an MRT group N foam filter and a subaru gasket for the plenum.

The car now runs to redline without any hesitation (especially since 5k rpm and up was pretty mediocre acceleration) and give a light raspy sound from 3500rpm to redline under full throttle. There's a gain in the first 3 gears but I noticed it the most in 4th gear. The car would simply pull hard all the way to redline around 150km/h (95mph).

I did this cheap mod at my 48k kms service (or 30k miles). Well worth every penny!

BTW, the plenum filter was so clean (could have been a new one) even after 30k miles. I don't know why Subaru even ever bothered in installing 2 air filters in the later 99RS cars.
