Default ECUTek Reflash for 2005 STI is available.

Just a quick note that the 2005 STIs are now supported in the latest EcuTek reflash technology. We at PDXTuning, plus all of the other Ecutek tuners will have this new version, and should be able to flash your 2005 STI. I'll have some dyno data from a 2005 shortly, and will of course post that.

So what will the peak boost be? No other mods required or will there be different versions using the stock turbo / injectors, etc.?

TIA

I've a question about some of the early 2004 STi ECUs which received a reflash from SOA to correct a knocking problem. It seems that EcuTeK isn't yet confident about applying a tuner reflash via Flash2004 to such SOA-relfashed ECUs. Could SOA have changed an algorithm (i.e. "executable code"), in addition to the visible fuel and ignition map changes? It seems EcuTeK is concerned about "regressing" the SOA reflash when applying a Flash2004 reflash. I would hope that any Flash2004 ROM image meant for the early 2004 STi ECU would incorporate SOA's knock fixes as a starting point.

The EcuTek Technology Reflash was unable to over flash a particular set of ECUs that did not have the AJ241 or AJ242 codeset. I don't think the corresponded directly with all cars with the ping fix. The first edition of the ping fix was the AJ242, which changed to locacation of some timing elements. The AJ243 and AJ240 ecus were the ones that could not be flashed last week. The AJ243 problem has been solved, and we can now flash those as well. The AJ240s are in progress.

I'll double check more about the most recent 'ping fix' ecus, but I suspect you are refering to the AJ243s. (I have not personally seen an AJ243 yet.. only 241s and 242s).

The 05 ECU is a completly different rom file.

Interesting.. When you flash the ECU, you replace both the code and the data segments, so I would suspect this is not a problem. From my understanding, the issue was something to do with certiain images being compatible with certain physical ECUS. For example, if you flash a AF481 (JDM STI) code into the US ECU, it doesn't work.

As it currently stands, you can flash the latest Subaru 04 code (AJ243) into all of the ECUs that have AJ241,242 or 243. The 240 is the only outstanding one, and they are working on that. The 05 is of course a completly different rom image.

I'll dig into the most recent ping fix issue more and post back.
