Wondering why your traps varied by 4mph though? did it get colder? Or did you change the boost?

I'm going to have to say he got a better launch on or better shifting on the better time. I have seen faster mph with higher 1/4 times alot.

Engine setup it 91 ej22 turbo shortblock, 99 SOHC 2.5RS heads, 2000 2.2 impreza headgaskets, spearco topmount, t3/t04e (I think- I'm not positive about that), Link Plus, WRX injectors with the tips cut off, walbro fuel pump. It was hitting around 22psi.

The reason for the different MPH's is tuning. We were playing around, trying different stuff. The car is basically untuned and has yet to hit the dyno . I expect to pick up quite a bit more power once I hit the dyno for a day or so.

VERY Nice Adam!!
I'd be very interested to know what you're putting down to the wheels.

22psi at 6000ft would be, what, like 16/17psi at sealevel? More or less?

Also, did you build your heads? Or did you keep the stock cams?

(Hey, and why were'nt you driving!)

I kept missing third. My buddy who was sriving has had the car for the past month or so as we made some new custom exhaust stuff. He's been driving it more than I have at the current boost level. The "painful" noise is a backfire at every shift from running too rich. We were flat shifting it too- Not taking our foot off the gas.

I am leaving for Iraq in a few weeks. I didn't really care if I blew it up because it was the next weak link. I will be putting in a new tranny when I get back in ayear or so. The car will be garaged and not driven much over the enxt year.

Nice car man, we'll have to go play around in a few canyons when I get my new tranny in. I knew your car was turbo from talking to you before the pikes peak thing, but it's VERY cool to see another 2.2t hybrid in the colorado area. Good luck in Iraq.... maybe Muqtada al Sadyr is hiding a bunch of STi parts in a bunker somewhere you can sneak back into the country
