Default What controls OP/CL switchover in MY04 WRX?

Hey guys,

Im debating whether to get an up-pipe or not with MY04 wrx, and was wondering what exactly controls the open look/closed loop switchover?

I heard that it was the EGT sensor, and therefore would be stupid to remove the up-pipe, but I'm not sure about it.

Tell me what you guys think,

Oleg

My understanding it is more of a fixed time delay between WOT and the switchover.

That's what I've been thinking as well. Do any of the engine management units remove that timing delay?

TPS is the trigger for CL=>OP boost switch-over.

UTEC closed loop fueling can do this.
