In my opinion spending that much money on heads seems like a waste. Stage 2 cobb's are like what $29XX ? for that much money you can get a whole turbo kit used possibly new and a standalone like a link, tec2, haltech. I'd do bottom end first cause that is where the most stress will be. Get a ej22t block or sti shortblock or even build the ej25 you have. From my research heads seem to be modded only after reasching a certain point. I'm going to be running around 11psi on my stock heads when I force feed my 98rs.

I apreciate the input and was wondering if you knew of any place to find a used turbo kit or some where I could buy all the parts I need, what mods would I have to make to if any to my stock engine and would I have to run a link ecu or piggyback for the turbo or could I just have my current one reflashed?

Tarmac Terror is selling a used minum stage 2 in the private classifieds. right now.

I run a 98 RS with a 2.2 turbo shortblock.

10-11 psi with no engine manangement other than a SAFC and J&S knockguard.

Rallispec Stage II
turbonetics t3/t4 ported inlet
Rallispec Intercooler
400CC injectors
Supra Fuel Pump
magnecore wires
SAFC
J&S knockguard
Rallispec 3'' Exhaust.

runs high 13s@97ish mph.

I tried 14psi, car is insane, but EGTs are to high to run without EM.

98 RS heads were machined when assembled, copper headgaskets.

so McDade your heads decked basically? they shaved off a bit correct? usually for warpage. It also raises compression. Do you know what compression you are at now? I'm just afraid of a crazy low compression ratio and hard turbo spool up. I know it must feel great but i'm sure all that power at once puts alot of stress on the tranny and axles. I'd like a more uniform increase in power. I've been thinking about a supercharger, but it seems it woudl be very hard to develop one. So far joncas seemed to have the best one and when he was selling it I should have bought it but wanted a turbo. Been thinking about getting a spare ej25 block and making a new intake manifold similar to the SPT prototype that has pics floating around on the net.

sime yes the heads where machined as far as I know to tighten up the fit and increase compression a bit.

guessing from what others have told me probably in the neighborhood 7.5:1 to 7.8:1

the set up has been run for 27-28k autocrossed regularly, by myself and the previous owner.
