Angry avo kit help!!!

anyone runing avo kit on99' 2.5rs?
just installed the avo kit today on my 99'rs,but the kit is for 2000 rs,i follow Installation instructions to connect LINK ecu wire to the stock ecu,then i start the engine ,lots of white smoke came out .when i use stock ecu plugs s-afc to running the engine, everythine seem ok,but hear someting like knocking from engine.
i dont know avo kit will work with a-sfc or not.anyone have idea??

The supplied LINK ECU will do the job of the S-AFC, you should not need the S-AFC any more.

if the link harness is for the 2000, then that could be your problem..... I _believe_ that the pinouts are not the same between the '99 and '00. And yes, there is absolutely no point in hooking up the S-AFC with the link.

yes the pin outs for the 99rs are different from the 00's go to ravensblade-impreza and find the pinouts for the 99rs.
