Does anyone know if the catback portion of the 04' STi exhaust will bolt right on to an 01' RS. Im interested in buying this exhaust if it requires no modification. I know I've seen pictures of it in the Impreza RS gallery. Thanks, any help appreciated.

No, it will not. You will have to have the cat-to-midpipe flange cut off, rotated and rewelded to fit.

ya it would take osme custom work but nothing an exhaust shop couldn't do for a modest fee.

The Muffler would fit just fine, but it has to have the exhaust hanger moved from facing right to facing left. The midpipe it not the same and needs custom work done. |

Check out my thread. All you would have to do is have the flange rotated and the midpipe hanger chopped off. An exhaust shop wouldn't charge you very much to do this (Maybe 30 bucks). Mick |

maybe when you put the new flange on the added material made it longer?
or did you just rotate the stock flange? |
