Post Anyone need parts from a 1990 Integra?

I've about scavenged my Integra for useful items that I need. It still has a bunch of stuff left for anyone who needs any Integra parts (a longshot on an Impreza board, I know) but before I donate it, I figure I'd give anyone a chance to pick up parts they might need. I don't plan on charging for any reasonable needs.

Pretty much all of the interior is left, it's a medium blue interior, faded, but in okay shape. Mostly all I've taken is the jack, and would like to keep the rims/tires. The engine severely overheated, so much of that is gone, but there are salvagable parts from it. I also have the stock stereo (AM/FM/cassette...yay!). Doors were recently repainted the factory medium/dark blue metallic due to a break in attempt, partial front fender painting also, for blending the color of old and new paint.

Just wanted to see if anyone needed anything before it went off to 'car heaven'.

Try posting it here. You should be able to sell some of that stuff. OR if you really want to give it away, make a "free stuff in the Bay Area" post. If you are not registered and have trouble, send me a pm and I'll let you use my userID

Yeah, that's about right.

Does the Integra use the same kind of door speaker mount as the old Impreza? It's a plastic adaptor ring that has four screws on one side (for the speaker) and three on the other (for the door). I need a pair of those if you happen to have em, because the WRX doesn't come with the adaptor unless you get the premium sound system.

Hmm, I didn't think to check when I had the door panels off yesterday. I pulled my 6.5"s out of the Integra and checked to see if they'd fit anywhere in the WRX, but as you know, it's a no-go.

That would be a nice bonus if the adapters were the same. I don't know if I'll have time to check tonight, I'll check tomorrow.

Joe, I didn't try the adapter, I was just trying to fit the speaker directly into the door. In fact, I left the adapters on the Integra. The 6.5's look as if they'll physically fit, if they have the right flange adapter for the screw holes.

Sin4lly: Left front headlamp, okay, but you picked the one part of the car that has a hole in it. I must have caught a REALLY big rock at some point, 'cause it looks like someone shot out the headlight. It works, it's just got a hole in the glass. Sure you don't want the rear assemblies? I had just replaced the rear light assembly seals before my g/f killed it .

WRXDrew: Clutch was replaced at ~140000, and it's now at ~168000 so it should be pretty good, only problem is there isn't much of a place to work on it to drop a tranny, it's just sitting out in my apartment complex parking lot, not on stands, and not level either. That, and when they come pick it up, the car should probably be in one piece. Lemme know

Concillian, do you think you can drop me one right side door opener (inside)? My one has a broken spring. Thanks.

Dude,
What's with the hating? There's a reason he put this in his local forum, as a favour to other locals cuz he's a nice guy. A lot of us I-clubbers still own Hondas or have Honda friends.
BTW, I hope you got a turbo if you are claiming a 210hp RS...

Just a hole in the center, it's been like that for about a year. It works fine, just has a hole in it. No cracks that I know of.

Cool .. otoh, if the 6.5's don't fit in the WRX, doesn't that mean the adaptor isn't the right kind?

Joe:

I just checked the Integra flanges. No go, without modification at least.

The holes are at the right angles, but just a few millimeters shy of the right radius. A dremel and a few minutes to make at least two out of three of the holes into 'forks', and it should fit okay.

Then, there's some stuff on the back surface, that doesn't fit in the hole, that stuff would have to be dremeled off too.

That should all work, but even then, the spacer may be too thick to fit properly between the door and the door panel.

Oh Gawd.

Trust Honda and Subaru to come up with the exact same speaker mount style, just with a different diameter.

Thanks much for checking, Concillan. Best of luck parting out that car.
