Some of you may know that I recently had my entire clutch assembly replaced. The next day the squeak returned. Tomorrow I'm heading to the dealer so they can have another look at it. Since it got a little cool here in Central NJ, the squeak hasn't happened for a few days. I've had the squeak for a couple of years now and it never squeaks when it's cool and dry outside.
Does it go away for anyone else when it's cool? Dennis

Intermittant as usual...but it does it worse when it's cold and dry out. Now I have more noises than ever coming from the front end. Blah. Still waiting to hear back from my dealer...the manager is out all week.

My car has several creaks and squeaks, but I know that dealers absolutely hate to disassemble a car looking for parts to lubricate or whatever. Some people I know have had the dealer actually tell them they would not perform warranty work for abnormal sounds that appear to be harmless. That's why I just try to ignore it. It's barely noticable on mine though...
My clutch pedal squeaks on the bottom half inch of travel, when I believe it is hitting the neutral start switch, or whatever you call it. |

Mine squeeks all the damn time and it's getting worse and the only advice the dealer offered was possibly the throwout bearing, which was replaced @20,000 miles ago along with the clutch and the engine. Yep, 1/4inch crack in the #4 cylinder. Of course they told me the clutch parts were only covered for 90days. No more Subaru clutch parts for me!
