Default I'm trying to find a reason NOT to move to Australia

I've never visited, but from all the pictures I've seen, the parties they have there, the women, and can't think of a reason not to move there.

Gimme one good reason not to go.

No, they steal them. Besides, I drank so much Mountain Dew back in the day, I bet I'm sterile.

Exactly what I said. By a business already started there, or by I think like a family relative or something weird.

Why is this hard?

You can't just say "I'm an 'murrican, let me in". You have to have a sponsor or something to bring to be allowed to move there.

they have essentially have a zero immagration policy which means you can't move there unless you are sponsered by an AUS citizen. And work visas are only good for 4 months and vacation visas are only good for one or two months

Funnel Web Spiders....

Quote:
Funnel-web spiders are found in eastern Australia, including Tasmania, in coastal and highland forest regions - as far west as the Gulf Ranges area of South Australia. Thirty-six species, including three tree dwelling species, have been identified.

Bites are most prevalent during summer and autumn when males leave the burrows in search of females. Accidental encounters with wandering males usually occur in gardens, houses, garages and sheds - particularly ground-level dwellings on concrete slabs.

Bites are dangerous and can cause serious illness or death. The venom appears to particularly affect primates (ie humans), whereas other mammals - such as cats and dogs - are relatively resistant.

I'm pretty sure Australia has skilled labor immigration visas, but as Kinsbane is patiently trying to explain is that you don't just show up and say, "I'm here."

A likely story... next thing, you are going to say that the same applies to foreigners moving to the US

That is actually A LOT harder then you would think. They don't just give out jobs to forigen citizens

They have very strict laws (and they enforce them) about the hiring process. I have applied to Autralian companines before and it is not easy.

I know the stereotype of aussie women being hot, but it really wasn't the case in real life. Spent a few weeks over there and I could pick out the australian chicks by their bad skin and butterfaces. Granted, it seemed like everyone had a decent body, but the faces just weren't all that great. Everyone on the coast looked like they'd done a good amount of sun damage.

Just my .02
