Have any of you guys/girls had any problems with your turbo charged 2.5? Any rough idle, over-heating. How has drivability changed since intalling it (aside from MORE POWER!!!)?

I have a rough idle, I'm still not sure why that is.

rough idle is a sign for a vacuum leak check on all turbo cars...either by means of a blown off hose or a tear or crack as a result of excessive heat. if thats the case try silicone hose, it's more durable.

Several people have sent boosted EJ25s to an early demise through poor tuning.

Rotary, I was always under the impression that silicone lines on a turbo car were a no-no, simply because they expand so much under boost, probably not the best thing for boost controller and wastegate lines.

Silicone is supple but much less prone to flex than rubber.
It'll also last a LOT longer. The hoses on my 93 are just about at the point where i might need to replace them all to fix a suspected leak. |

Rubber vacuum lines will crack and break, rendering the vacuum useless. Silicone hoses have less of a chance of cracking, and they respond to heat less than rubber. The drawback is expense.
