haha, I just bid on it

Seriously though, what do you mean, will it work? Can it work? Yes. Will it work? Depends on what you are planning to do with it. The auction isn't over for 8 more days. Go find a copy of Maximum Boost by Corky Bell and read about how to design and implement a custom turbo system.

i guess we'll have to duke it out Tim

But true, im not sure what you mean by will it work? Of course it will. But do you have the means to custom build a turbo kit?

If your looking for a straight bolt-on, this definately wont work

Conceptually, absolutely. Very low lag.

They are simply unreliable, to be polite. Search around on the Miataforum in their Power Mods forum.

A T3 is a good tize turbo. Maybe a touch big for low boost.

T3 super 60 is the best for around 7-8 intercooled psi with the stock redline.

I thought the aerodyne turbo is reliable if you use the right size for the boost lev. you want to run.. I have heard Thay run into reliablity iss. if you overboost them? But if you have a boost control sys. to protect from over boost and do not turn up the boost over what is recmded they would be fine? This is more of a qustn. than a statment.

Liquid Calm,

That is true, however, aerodynes simply just explode at the first sign of danger. Even with perfect boost control, if you spring a small intake leak, they will overrev and blow. I've had a hose pop completely off one of my intercooler pipes before, and have sprung numerous leaks (think I need to get turbo specific hose clamps). If I had an aerodyne, it would have died a long time ago.

There is a guy in my town that supposidly has a Twin Turbo RX-7 set up in his 98RS and he claims to be running the 1/4 Mile in the low 10's. Is it even possible to build a set up like that? If so, I might be interested.

Hello guys!!!

DarkLite - I'm using a Ballbearing T28. It's a good size turbo for this car, not too big nor too small, all depends on what you are looking for. If you like AutoX and an ocassional drag race, this is the one for you. Lag? What's that? (full boost @ 2300/10-12psi).

Delectron & Imprezinator - Both of you are right!! The T3/Super 60 hybrid is the best turbo for the RS. It won't spool as quick as the T28, but it will keep producing power up to the stock redline. BUT......don't use it for 8psi. This hybrid id better suited for 10-12psi, with the proper fuel management (S-AFC, pump, etc) you won't have any problems.

If you want to see my car, there's a topic on this board's section named: "Turbo RS Pics" from Oct. 19, 2000, check it out & let me know what you think....

PEACE!!!!
