Default te37 deal....

I found an awesome deal on a 17x7.5 te37 bronze rims. It comes with potenza re040 tires 215/45/17....offset is +48mm....here's the problem...it has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern...but i did find a site that sells a wheel adaptor that converts the car's 5x100 to a 5x114.3 pattern...not sure if tats a good idea. Another thing, would it fit my car, dimension wise(98 subaru legacy 2.5gt wagon)? I hope it does, there shouldn't be any rubbing right? thanks for the help.

Thats the best tire size to use on a BG wagon in 17" for clearance. With the +48mm vs say a +53mm oem offset, there is a good chance of some rear fender lip rubbing if the car is lowered more than .5". If the car isnt lowered, youre pretty much good to go I think.

The problem is that adapter you are referring to usually adds at least 7-10mm to the outside of the hub face, which reduces the offset of the wheel to worst case +38mm, which will rub on that car in most circumstances.

They are definitely nice wheels, but for your car, I dont see a way to get them to work.
