Default Subaru UK 17" wheels (Gold, Silver, Gray)

Some people in the Tire & Wheel forum expressed an interest in a groupbuy for the UK 5 spoke rims. As promised, we are happy to oblige:

We are selling these in sets of 4 (no individual rims), with the matching centercaps.

The price: $1,199 for a set of 4 + shipping (avg. of $60.00)
The rules: We need a minimum of 10 orders (40 rims). We'll keep this group buy open until July 31st, the order will be placed August 2nd.
Projected delivery time will be about a month, since we are bringing these in ocean freight instead of air freight.
Payment: A $500 non-refundable deposit upon ordering, the balance when we ship.
To order: send an e-mail to this address including your first and last name, NASIOC screen name, address, daytime telephone number, and your rim color of choice. We will then get back to you by phone to take your order.
Questions: E-mail info@cc-b.com with any questions you might have.

Takers so far:

[group buy closed]

Thanks for reading and thanks for participating in this group buy

Which of the silvers match the PSM paint of the WRX?

To put the price in perspective, the wheels are 175 from the dealer (with tax) in the UK = $324

$324 x 4 = $1296

Also if anyone feels like trying to find more info on these wheels, the part number is 28111FE020K Gold ; 28111AE011K Silver

Honestly, we are not really set up for that. Also, these rims come individually boxed, which makes it a) easy to ship and b) prevents FedEx or UPS from banging the hell out of them. I'd rather not unpack them.

17x7, I have to check on the exact weight but I seem to remember from the last airwaybill that they were 16lbs each.

cc-b is a great vendor. I bought STI LHD headlights from him about 2 years ago. I finally got around to installing them and bought the PnP harnes from him. (girlfriend ltook her kids to visit grandma, and I am looking for way to stay out of trouble) There was a problem with my card #. CC-B sent an email with a phone #. I called and left a message. Eddy called and to prevent a long version of phone tag left his direct #.

I called and he personally took my CC info, and processed the Order. This all happened in less than 8 hours.

Oh yeah, when they first came, one of the headlights was smashed by UPS. That was fixed. I don't remember the specifics, but I do remember the warm fuzzy feeling of customer satisfaction.

I'm fairly sure 225 would work, but I'd stick with 215. Personal preferage, YMMV and all that.....

Thank you for the kind words. Your order is on it's way, you should have rec'd the tracking number.

If I wasn't moving at the end of the month I'd be all over this (since I was one of the ones who asked about it).

I have these on my wagon, and I see NO reason to go bigger than 215. My philosophy is that these wheels come stock on the UK subies (or did at least), and the tires that they run are 215's. That leads me to believe that there is no compromise on the rolling diameter of the wheels. Also, less rubber = lighter...

Are you talkin' to me?

I am saying it's a fair price, and list the part numbers if people wanted to find the specs on the wheels.

as far as any difference in rolling diameter, 225/45/17 is actually closer to stock (205/55/16) than 215/45/17. i'm not a geek, i actually researched this topic extensively when looking for tires for my UK 17's. in any case, devil, i'm sure your wagon looks great!!

I've got 225/45/17s on there, and they fit great, I've had no issues.

Sir,

We issued a call tag with FedEx to have the item in question picked up. Obviously, this has not happened yet, so we'll check with Fedex.
Untill we have this visor back in our possesion there is very little that we can do. Marsha received several e-mails from us and has talked to Kathy to get this problem rectified.
Once the item is here and we can verify the claim, we will promptly issue a refund.

Eddy

P.S.: I think everybody heard you the first time. Would you mind editing your second post, please?

also i called and got someone over a week ago and she said she would send it out.

JEff

PS she or i only recieved ONE email from the many sent out and we have sent out many, we have also called about a dozen times and only once did i get someone. also it would be nice when we leave a message u would get back to us. (plus it get expensive calling long distance about a problem that should of been solved with one or two emails)
