Post Borla Headers

Does anyone know if the Borla headers are good for any power increase? If so how much? I have never seen any reports on HP gain and am thinking of going with header, COBB cam and throttle body for my next set of mods.

Cool

According to Scott at SPO the "newest" model from Borla does improve performance, but there are two previous models that SUCK...beware.

I'll post a report/review after I put the new headers on. Which will be december 2nd.

SPO says good things about them, but they are the ones selling it.

i think there was a dyno graph for 6hp. But keep in mind these are uenqual length headers. Have you looked at our funny looking cats? if you plan to switch 'em out for better flo, the headers might prove a problem. I think someone was talking about this in another thread somewhere.

Don

P.S. Personally, no offense to SPo, I would'nt buy 'em. 500 for 6hp? that's almost as bad as a deal as the UD pulley. 3 hp for 200? sheesh. i'd rather part 500 for Cobb tuning's Cams.

I agree with Wistful, I just don't trust Borla. I hear that MRT makes good equal length headers, and they cost less. (the aus. $$ is down on the US... thats good.) apperently you can get a whole exhaust system for around $500.

tabolau,

I think I have a bearing problem, gonna get the dealer to check it out (I want to keep the exhaust quiet till then)

My car gets inspected on Dec. 1st (im also putting on a new cat back exhaust)

And yes it is highway robbery for the performance mods to the car (I think they all are), and my choices are limited. 99's run lean and I dont like whats out there now... (intake + SAFC= more money than headers)

I wouldn't waste your money on Headers. Trust me, after a few months of driving, you'll wish you hadn't bought them because then you'll be ready to turbocharge it and the headers will be worthless to you. TRUST ME.
