Default Subaru 4pot clearance

Will Prodrive P7's clear 4-pots? Is there a list of wheels that do/do not fit over Subaru 4-pots?

thanks,
nirmit

The P7's not only clear the 4-pots, they will clear the StopTech BBK

They will not clear the STI Brembos, however

Most 17 inch wheels will clear the 4-pots - all 17" Rota's, for example, but the 16x7 Rota Slipstreams will not clear without spacers

The 16x7 OEM wheels on the older GC's models clear, but the 16x6.5 WRX stock wheels will not without a spacer - I can't remember if you need a 3mm or 5mm spacer

the 17x7 UK OEM wheel, the 17x7 OEM BBS and 17x7 "Legacy Turbo" wheel will also clear the 4-pots

this thread shows the wheels that will clear the StopTech BBK - so of course those wheels will also work with the 4-pots

Whoa hold on here,,, From my understanding all the rally guys use the 4pots cause they clear the 15" gravel wheels. Is this wrong?

Why would the 15" compomotives clear when the 16x6.5's dont?

My guess would be that the spokes could problems, not just the diameter of the wheel.

Your guess would be exactly correct.

And the 4pots BARELY fit inside those few 15" race wheels diamterwise. Interestingly in a couple of those wheels, the 4pots fit but the stock WRX 2pots dont, because the 2pot caliper is taller than the 4pot caliper. The 4pot caliper is wider tho, that why it wont work in the 16x6.5" wheel, the afore-mentioned spoke clearance issue.

Go Figure....

Well that kills the idea of going to 4pot fronts....

Theres no point to changing since I only use the compomotives for TSD rally and use stockers the rest of the time.

If youve already invested in Compo's finding a set of 98-01 RS wheels for daily use shouldnt be a problem. The 98-01 16x7" RS wheels fit over the 4pots and make the stock 205/55-16s work better every day. I have the 01s on my car.

And the 15" Compos fit over the stock 2pots ok?
