Aside from driving a subi everyday what part of the twice a day commute do you enjoy most?
Mine= early morning in the parking garage ()wning the 15mph speed limit when I get up to the empty levels and taking thousands of miles of tread life off of my tires.

My commute sucks...no fun roads plus I'm driving a Toyota Tacoma.
The best part of my commute is when I get to work/home and get out of the damned thing! |

The only thing I enjoy about my commute is the one day out of ten when I get the onramp to I-40 to myself, and the one day out of twenty when I'm the first car at the light a few miles from work where some ******* in an accord or something tries to pass me from the turn only lane.
The rest of the days are completely unredeeming. |

Nothing fun about my commute. Make 1 right turn and 1 left turn and I'm at work in 2 minutes 15 seconds.

Zooming down back roads to Washington, NC. Getting to work and doing a doughnut on the grass.
Then, when Im going home, blowing away my co-worker in his T-bird SC. Windows down, breeze blowing, turbo spoolin. I want to go home now. -Ob |

Driving along the Narragansett Bay in RI for 10 minutes.... hardly any traffic, no stop signs, no red lights, hardly known road.

No scooby for me. The best part of my commute is reading for an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon on the train. Oh, and watching the crackheads get off in Newark.
![]() Edit: I also like my 5:30am walk to the subway station, the city is so empty and quiet... |

The S-shaped turn after the Ben Franklin Bridge which I take fast and zoom by coffee-sipping, make-up-applying, trying-to-wake-up people. It is extra fun when I'm riding to work.

When it's done. New commute has me mostly on a toll road. I gotta take a Sunday afternoon to find some interesting, less stop-and-go backroads to the office.

Best part: stumbling from my bed to the coffee machine in the morning.
I live my life one cup at a time. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free. |

On my way home there is a curve where the road splits that is slightly banked and lots of fun. I don't take it over 35mph I'd say, but its still just a blast to take. Plus its funny to watch all the people behind me going like 15mph thru it.

I drive on US24 along the Illinois River. Eagles soar. Red tail hawks float in the air. Deer wander around in praries by the marshland. I set the cruise on 62 and consider it "my time".
