Post Who has the fastest N/A Impreza...?

Lets see who has the fastest Impreza, shall we? It seems that some people don't think it's possible for a naturally aspirated Sube to run in the 14's. Post your time, Name, and mods.

Think we can safely say that Trey Cobb has the fastest NA Impreza so far

I live off of Aloma, right by 436. I was going to turbo my car, but there doesn't seem to be a true "bolt on" kit anywhere. I don't need the head ache of a blown motor either....So it's N/A for me. contact me the next time you go to the track, I'd like to get some times in my car.

From what I remembered, Mike Moffa 'had' the fastest N/A impreza. He had confirmed his 1/4 mile time at 15.3 (it is still in video form on his website I believe) and unconfirmed of 15.2. He may have the timeslip posted somewhere.

There was another guy from New York that showed up at the May 2nd 1999 Nira event that told a few of us (Tsvi, Shane Barth., AdamS, SteveS to name a few) that he ran in the high 14's with his setup. He had some home made fuel pressure riser (with a screw of sorts). His 2.5RS was all white and he had this big Subaru flag on his car. He was spanish, puerto rican, fillipino...I can't remember someone help me out. Well, that's all from me.

BTW: Before going turbo, my OBS went 15.35@89mph in N/A trim. *Close your mouth cause Im only kidding. Hehe!*

I never sold any of you a car. I will have to figure out what to do about the name when the turbo goes in.

Yeah, since Moffa posted his timeslip, he has gone the route of custom turbo (took it off his MX6)- Get this- A sube dealer in montreal (don't want to name names) is helping out the montreal guys alot- people blowing mafs or what have you are getting them replaced under WARRANTY, regardless of mods.

BTW, the probable reason why Mike got a 15.3 is most likely because he has the weight advantage, being only 90lbs and all (Hey mike, if your reading this- just joking!

Haha funny guys.. I am small, but 90lbs is a little bit small .. hehe I am in the 150lbs..

Like Keving said, I got a video of me at 15.31 , but my best time is 15.22. I done 15.2 more then 1 time.. at the end, I was always there.. I have all my timeslip (but not scan), but I also have withness on the mtl sub club message board.. People know me, and people know that I dont lie..
If people dont beleive me, I am sure that I can find someone to scan my timeslip.. I got a lot of them.. I just check them, and I got more then 10 runs in the 15.2x sec time.

Later guys
Mike M

Oh btw, I forgot to mention that at that time I did not have any mods on the car.. I have test the car on the track with and without the muffler, and I did the same time.. Same thing when I have try it with a air filter and without..
My biggest mods, was to remove my big sub in the trunk.. I pass from 15.8 to 15.2 with that. I was having a big FU*** box with a 15" sub in it.. I never put it back after that day. hahaha I am more a speed lover then a sound guy..

To do those time, I was dropping the clutch at 5500rpm.. more then that, my stock clutch was slipping.. and when I test the lunch with making the clutch slip, my time was not as good, and even sometime far from 15.2 ..

hehe ok I think thats about it..
You can also see my site at http://pages.infinit.net/subarurs/
You can find alot of pics of my car and video. Also, you can find some parts that I sell.. Short Shifter, Skid Plate, Links, Shoulder Pads, ...
For the moment, the video server is down, but I will try to work on that, and find another one..

Thanks guys

Mike Moffa,

Do yourself a favor when you scan that timeslip. Try to upload it to your member pic area here just so people will believe you made that run. You know alot of people here need proof of a run. The video was convincing enough for me. Wish I had a video of my runs. *sniffle*

Speed,
Going turbo wasn't painful at all. I guess because RalliSpec installed it. No pain at all. I actually drove my car there, read a couple of magazines and drove off, albeit 5hrs later but I don't mind the wait for good service. L8Rs
