Default do 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, and 2.5L cams swap?

I know that the heads do swap depending on block type... but do the cams swap? i see tons of 2.5L cams and wonder if I can just go grab the ones I want with the right duration/lift and put them in my 2.2L.

I asked Cobb if their cams would fit my EJ22 SOHC. After about 3 weeks one of their techs answered and said no they don't. I still not so sure that they won't and hope that an expert like Section 8 will fill us in. If they don't fit I wonder if the cam grinders that Cobb and TWE use could just grind some 2.2 or 1.8 cams to their 2.5 cam specs.
