Default Nice Wet/Dry Tire?

I'm the market to replace my tires. I currently have Pirelli all season tires in 225/45/17. I want to replace these with a summer tire that has good wet/dry traction in the same size and that are reasonably priced. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Just picked up some Falken FK 451's in 205/50/16 for $350 total yesterday.

no impressions yet, but they are supposed to be good in wet and dry.

I asked for a friend and in your size they wouldve been $450 total including an alignment. This is at Discount Tire.

Pretty reasonable. I have a thread further down the page...

Goodyear F1 GS-D3, Falken FK-451, Toyo T1-S, Bridgestone S-03....all of these have proved to have good wet/dry characteristics.

My bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Postions rule in the wet. Not cheap...but killer.

Thanks for the recommendations. After a little bit of research, I think I'm going to go with the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s.

Hankook Ventus HRII's suck in the wet. I have to get them changed soon.

Kumho MX. They are very light tires to boot!

Another vote for the S03's in the wet.. I've never felt so confident on a tire in the rain. Great in the dry too.. however they are expensive
