Default Koni inserts into STi inverted struts?

Has anyone installed the Koni inserts into the STi inverted strut bodies? I'm thinking this would be an easy mod as they won't need cutting, just the hole in the bottom opening out.

Doesn't work. The koni inserts are made for a non-inverted strut body. Emailed Koni-USA about this exact topic a few months back.

Damn, that's not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for the info.

<--- wishes he hadn't been so quick to consign the stockers to the garbage can...

I picked up a set of 02 stockers for about $50 or something like that. I can't find where that email went, but it basically went to the tune that they needed gravity to hold the strut in place, having it inverted wouldn't work. And they have no plans to make an insert that will work
