Yes, they make them for the Impreza and they do fit, both front and rear. The front will not fit if you have a top-mount intercooler, though.

Yep
just email him with any questions.BTW, Cusco stuff is the freaking bomb. They make very very top quality stuff. I also think its cool to get your suspension manufactured by the samecompany. I would imagine it could possibly flow better together. Who knows that, besides, it would look neat! later matt |

Notice: The rear ones are a absolute b!tch to get on, but well worth having, probably more important than the front.

The rear is a pain to do. I have some pics and instructions here:
http://www.azscooby.com/ Do a search in the Technical section too. A few others have some pics too that are very helpful. Peaty |

I have the rear bar. The endpieces are indeed a bitch to install... I had to use a hammer to enlarge the strut tower hole in the bodywork to get it to fit. It's so cool how Subaru even made a provision for the rear bar though.
Definitely get this bar, it makes the car feel so much more solid, especially if you have a stiff suspension. |

i have both bars and the front is really easy to install...the rear is easy too, you just need to remove the rear seat and seatbelts, then take the bar apart and reassemble it once the pieces are in place...not that hard at all...1hour total for all installs

I got the CF rear bar from trey cobb. fitting is really not all that bad. there's just two things to know:
1. remove the rear seatbelts before you do the install to get enough clearance to maheauver the endcaps. get the torque specs from your dealer if you don't want to be liable for any friends getting injured in the back though and use a torque wrench to retighten. 2. do NOT tighten the endcaps down until you have the bar in place with the bolts that link it to endcaps in. If you put the endcaps and tighten the nuts, your life will suck. bassem |

What would be a disadvantage of overtighening the front or rear strut tower bar??
Anyone have the torque specs handy? Thanks - Jon |

a pretty big disadvantage would be having your strut mounting bolts snap off, and then having to dis-assemble everything and replace them.
or maybe I'm just being silly. ![]() RP p.s. this one fits, and BINGO, no joints: [This message has been edited by Ryan Plum (edited December 04, 2000).] |
