Wait, I think I can figure this out. I'm supposed to replace each letter with the next one in the alphabet or something, right?

Morcheeba - "Big Calm" - relaxing "trip hop" w/great female lead vocals

Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals - "Live From Mars" - an amazing artist (if he hasn't already hit your radar) - this album is a great blend of his heavier, edgier offerings and more sedate acoustic stuff (2 cds)...more in keeping w/mainstream, but he'd probably hate to hear that. Good stuff.

Death Cab for Cutie - "Transatlanticism" - an eerily beautiful CD, which I have a hard time likening to anything.....check out track#3 somewhere if possible, and if you remotely like the sound BUY IT....the rest will come. "We have the Facts and are Voting Yes" is another amazing one from these guys.

Built to Spill - "Perfect From Now On"....one of my faves....but may take a few spins.

Dave Brubeck - "Take Five" - a great intro to jazz if you're not a fan already. Great time, amazingly done. The best selling jazz album the World over. No more needs to be said IMO.

The Dismemberment Plan - "Emergency & I" - this was suggested to me recently by a member here, and initially I was like..... ! But after 2-3 go 'rounds I "got it". Somewhat akin to a cross between the vocals from Green day and the music of Radiohead. Very, very interesting.

Willy Porter - "Willy Porter" - a less well known artist completely off the radar of the afore mentioned bands.....just a guy with a guitar making some real pretty music. Nice, relaxing stuff....great lyrics. I'd advise a listening prior to purchase on this as well.

Not sure how these will be received so I'll leave it at that. If these are along your lines lemme know and I have a boatload more I'd reco. Happy listening.

I actually have the Morcheeba and Brubeck discs. Death Cab I've listened to, good stuff. Ben Harper is awesome.

I'm gonna be blowing a boatload of cash on music, wee.

yah jealous sound rocks. their last album was very good. I saw them with piebald a few months ago and i thought the singer was going to faint on stage, emaciated bald head bags under his eyes big enough to print LV On em 30times.. but still they played well.

Well, I ended up buying 4 CDs:

The Black Keys - thickfreakness
The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site
Death Cab For Cutie - We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes
The Mad Caddies - Just One More

Transatlanticism was out of stock where I looked. I couldn't remember which Mad Caddies albums were recommended here, so I just picked the one with the best song/price ratio.

Finally found the Black Keys!
