If you are enjoying Death Cab, pick up the Forbidden Love EP. The acoustic version of "405" is unbelievable. "Photobooth" is just plain addicting.

and then get the Stability EP and listen to the two saddest songs you've ever heard by a band that sounds like it should be happy all of the time.

....the band, however is still alive. The CD is quite good. Other good stuff: Mission of Burma - OnOffOn, Forget Cassettes - Instruments of Action, Muse - Absolution, Wrens - Meadowlands.

Track 10 on "We Have the Facts...." is a great, great tune. Nicely done. Enjoy them. (and next time, get a Ben Harper album too!)

Along the photography vein, The Photo Album is my favorite DCFC album. Pick it up. May as well grab all of their stuff, really, it's all money.

I've only given DCfC and Mad Caddies a cursory listen so far, sounds not bad.

Black Keys rocked my face of.

And Weakerthans... damn, Zach, thank you for that. It's awesome, and they hate Edmonton!

Galactic is jazz-funk from New Orleans....they've been touring nationally for a couple of years now. Have seen them 5-6 times total in NYC, New Orleans, and Vegas.

Highest recommendations!

I saw them last Wednesday live. See my thread on the band... I actually got to hang with them in their dressing room after the show.

Great stuff.

Rock 'n' Roll:
-The Vue- Cool guys, like Doors meets Hives, they are from San Francisco.
-Rocket From the Crypt- Tough-guy Rock w/horn section.

More experimental:
-Trans Am- Instrumental rock. Takes a while to figure it out. Think Rush, but not taking themselves so seriously.
-Don Cabellero- See Trans Am, above.
-Shellac- Steve Albini's band. Brutal post-rock, free of all metaphor.

Hip Hop
-Deltron 3030
-Handsome Boy Modelling School
-El-P

Dance
-Audio Bullys: English Soccer Hooligan House Music. Listen to see what I mean.

Enjoy
