How do these springs compare with the SPT blue springs previously offered by Subaru of America?

are you saying these are wagon specific?

if so I'd love a set that are 04 wagon specific.

Fill me in I may order like pronto.

what's the difference between wagon and sedan springs? Curious. cause I know our tail ends are about 80 pounds heavier and slightly lower I believe?

yes these are WAGON SPECIFIC
difference is in the rear spring and rear spring rates...
wagon rear springs are geared for the heavier rear load.
NICE ISNT IT????

these are the STi Pink springs.
Bit stiffer than SPT - waiting for SPECIFIC spring rates....
but a 40-45% increase in stiffness is quite a bit!

more info posted as it is available.
but these are the stuff, very nice, flat, smooth, not too stiff.

those rates are not for these springs as these are brand spanking new ...

but... probably VERY close to what we have here....

these STi springs are made in japan

and the front springs include new self locking suspension nut set as well for the struts...

we may keep this price up for a bit.
this is an introductory offer - and will not last forever.

On www.allsubaru.com - we noted 'first 15 sets only' but have already sold quite a few, so as long as the interest remains, we'll consider keeping the price 'reasonable'

compatibility:

Yes the Sedan Springs should fit the STi
will it be a HUGE increase in spring rate over stock?
hard to say without hard numbers.
Sti OE = about 20-25% stiffer than WRX

these springs are 40-45% stiffer than OE
thus, you can ASSUME the pink springs are likely 15-20% stiffer than the OE STi springs.

Will these fit a 2002 WRX?
OE spring part numbers differ greatly from 2002 to 2004
that means there was a design change.

i'm not 100% as to what that change was, - i know the rear tops are going to differ... so you 2002 guys, buy these at your own risk and once you install them, post pix so the rest of us have an idea how the fittament/ride goes!

really, i have to go off of the numbers and info from Subaru
Subaru says these are for 2004 - and the OE spring part numbers do vary from 2002 / 2004....

will these fit a 2005
the OE spring part numbers = same for 2005 model wrx
thus, yes these should work

if orders keep coming in the way they are,
current (first batch) stock will be depleted by days end.

we will have 10 more sets on Monday 7/19
so order with confidence, and reserve your set now!

call us at 206.542.1166 - x161

spring rates - hard numbers are not available from Subaru just yet

only percentages.
we've requested the hard numbers - and will just have to wait a bit

these ARE the pink sti springs
these ARE made in japan
these ARE 40-45% stiffer than OE

let me know if you have other questions.

Jamie,

So 150-220 mm means .6" - "9 of inch lowering - front? back? assume you would have posted already if you knew...

do these work well with stock 2004 wagon struts? (as well as Prodrives?)

how do these compare to Prodrives? Eibachs? in terms of performance? (in general for these springs since I assume all specific current info is in Japanese?)?

thanks,

canbaru

Hmmm.. Do you have access to STi wagon springs that you know fit the '02 models? I don't want to tear the suspension apart to find that they don't fit...

yes i do not have the exact specs, but one can assume as is with any lowering spring, the rear will drop slightly more than the front. lowering springs are designed this way as the "fronts" still need room for the front wheels to maneuver/turn

as is with any lowering spring, these will work with OE struts -

Any lowering spring + OE combo will tend to shorten the life of the OE strut slightly. Whereas you would have gotten 110k out of your OE strut w/the origingal spring... now you may have to consider replacing at say 90k...

lowering springs put a tick more work into the OE struts, but yes, you can use these with OE no worries

Prodrive/Eibach = both Eibach Springs. P1 spring = Eibach spring as well... STi springs... who do you think makes those?

These are very likely Eibach as well and a SWEET upgrade.
( i will confirm, but just going off of Subaru's history )
The ride will be flat
The ride will be smooth
Body roll = reduced
Center of gravity = increased
Overall performance ability of the car.... ENHANCED!

hope this is what you were looking for.
